Mayor's Message

Welcome to the official website for the City of Winnfield. Our city is located in the rolling hills of north Central Louisiana and offers a true feeling of community.

An excellent school system, strong churches, an expanding medical community and a low cost of living makes Winnfield a great place to live, work, retire and do business.

We have provided Louisiana with great leadership through the years. Winnfield is the home of Governors Huey P. Long, Earl K. Long and Oscar K. Allen, so quite naturally the Louisiana Political Museum is in downtown on Main Street. Located in the heart of the Kisatchie National Forest, our residents and visitors can enjoy the great outdoors. Every year thousands of sportsmen take advantage of hunting and fishing throughout Winn Parish.
