Thank you for your interest in Winnfield. I hope you will visit our city, or better yet, move here and become part of our community.
Winnfield is located in the north central part of our state, surrounded by beautiful pine forests and cypress-lined bayous and streams.
Winnfield is the home of three Louisiana Governors: Huey P. Long, Earl K. Long and Oscar K. Allen. Because of our rich political history, the Louisiana Political Museum is located in downtown Winnfield on Main Street and honors many of our state's political leaders, past and present. A short distance from the museum is the Earl K. Long Park located on Maple Street where Governor Earl K. Long is buried.
Because our city is located in the heart of the Kisatchie National Forest, there are many outdoor recreational opportunities to enjoy within a short drive. This area offers some of the best whitetail deer hunting in the state.
If you are a business owner looking to expand, relocate, or start a business, come to Winnfield. We are open to new business and will partner with you to make your business successful. With the Huey P. Long Technical College located here, we have a facility for preparing and training your workforce.
Winnfield has a nationally-accredited school system, a strong faith community, excellent medical facilities, a local airport, and a golf course. All of these amenities make Winnfield a great place to live, work, or retire. Please come visit us and see for yourself what Winnfield has to offer.
